The Nagoa beach is the biggest and perhaps the most talked about beach in Diu. The beach is horse-shoe shaped and is located in the Nagoa hamlet of the Bucharwada village.
The seashore is always bustling with the wave movement and this invariably leads to formation of beaches with unique shapes. Nagoa beach which is around 5 km from the town is one of such marvels, where the shore is horse shoe shaped. Thus one can see the moth of the horse shoe permitting the sea water inside the shoe.
The beach is exquisitely beautiful and is surrounded by dense coconut groves the beach takes its name from the Nagoa hamlet, a satellite of Bucharwada village. The full stretch of the beach approx. 2.5 km is clean and well maintained and minimal rocks and undercurrents makes the beach safe for swimming.
Nagoa beach is a palm-fringed, largely deserted and secluded beach. It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful beaches in India. Just twenty minutes refreshing drive from Diu will carry you to the unique shoe-shaped beach of Nagoa. A swim in the water of this unspoilt virgin beach is most refreshing one.
The beach is well rowed with the Hoka trees and quite good for water sports like Parasailing, hot air balloon ride , water scooter, bumper boating, banana boating, speed boat etc.
Nagoa Beach is perhaps the most beautiful beach in Diu. One can swim in the crystal clear waters, walk along the clean beach, ride a camel or try out other adventure activities.
Diu town is about 7 km from the Nagoa Beach and buses are available from the old bus stand to reach here. This old bus stand is located at the end of the bridge and offers only few buses to the beach.
Nagoa Beach is a popular picnic spot. It is a secluded beach, which can be reached in 20 minutes through ferry from the main town of Diu. The beach is situated in an old fishing village of Nagoa.

Nagoa Beach - Daman and Diu - India

The Naida Caves are an explorer’s delight. Located outside the city wall of the Diu fort, these caves are a network of hewn hollows and steps which beg to be explored. The history of the caves suggests that the Portuguese hacked off building materials during their reign, which resulted in the formation of the caves.
Naida caves in Diu are within a short distance from the Diu town. Diu’s greatest glory is the huge fort, a sight that justifies the long trip here. The northern side of the island, facing Gujarat, is tidal marshland and saltpans while the southern coast alternates between limestone cliffs, rocky covers and sandy beaches.
These caves have a natural opening that allows sunlight to enter the caves, making it all the more photogenic.
It’s also great if you want to do some actual exploring. Head to the caves during noon (the best time to visit) and spend a couple of hours going through the tunnels in the overwhelming silence and trying to figure out where the stairs actually lead to.
Naida Caves are a labyrinth of mystery and history. Naida caves are like a confusing network of tunnels that are largely unexplored till date. Well exploration is a traveler’s call but the mysterious vibes of the Naida Caves are enough to give you a high.
The Naida caves are located on the periphery of the Diu fort. These caves have a big network of tunnels with square hewn steps.
